Kay Peters Sermon likes to say she began painting when she got into her older sister’s paint box at an early age. She is a watercolorist, a muralist, and a dedicated teacher.

Kay graduated from the University of Kansas with a BFA in Art, and the University of Wyoming with a Masters in Drawing and Painting.

Instruction

Kay shares her skills and knowledge with others by teaching the following classes:

• Private group classes in au plein aire painting which meet on Thursday mornings, rain or shine, throughout the year.
• Private watercolor classes in her home
• Watercolor classes - Club 55 at the Administration Building at Saint Agnes Hospital

Kay is retired from the Art Faculty at the District Community College at Fresno.

In the year 2000 Kay completed two murals in the Whole Food store in Fresno, 17 feet, and 36 feet long. Her work hangs in public and private collections in the United States and throughout the world.
